Two good friends of ours from back in the day (NYC ska reggae scene, Toasters, Unity 2, Second Step, etc...) Constant & Lionel Bernard flew to Haiti to visit family THE DAY BEFORE THE EARTHQUAKE (!). Fortunately, they made it out alive (http://www.msnbc.msn.com/id/21134540/vp/34897319#34897319 Lionel & Constant are at 1:40) but some of thier family and friends in the community of Fontamara were not so fortunate. The Bernards are trying to raise money to help thier extended family and the community of Fontamara. If you can help you will be donating directly to these folks and helping in a real way. The recovery is going to be a long and painful road and after six months or a year when CNN, the cameras, the media have gone, they will still be trying to repair thier ruined country. Thanks!
